Basilica San Petronio
The Basilica of San Petronio is the main church in Bologna and represents, even if unfinished, one of the largest churches in Europe. Dedicated to Petronius, the patron saint of the city, the construction began in 1390 when the first stone was laid in a solemn procession and was completed in 1663. Palazzo Comunale (Town Hall)

At the end of the 13th century, the nucleus acquired by the Municipality included the home of Accursio, the lawyer and Master of Law in the Bologna law firm. Palace del Podestà
The Palazzo del Podestà - 400 meters from our property - overlooks Piazza Maggiore together with the Palazzo Comunale. Built in about 1200 as a place to perform public functions and therefore the seat of the mayor and his officials. The Arengo Tower, a quadrangular terracotta tower, rises from the property.
